Do you prefer to
choose or not? This question is always we heard primarily when the national
election is going be held in Indonesia. At last several years, since the
government have been renewing law and regulation of national election specially
the election of legislative candidate, the candidate nowadays is chosen as
nationality. The legislative position as if be a magnet which all of people-
from whenever circle society or profession of them- interested in large numbers
for sitting on. It causes appearing in number of slogans, stickers, pamphlets,
and also which setting their faces and also their campaign words with sentences
impressing promise, and even the song has a persuasive tone to choose them. But
nevertheless, still many people averse and prefer to do not choose one even
also of them. One thing that being cause of people prefer to do not participate
in national election of legislative is they don’t have belief to the
candidates.
Preferring to do not
choose one even also of the candidate of legislative in national election
because of the society doesn’t have belief to them. The societies try to learn,
understand, and see from the previous experience to the same people when they
have been member of legislative. The promise that they always said in campaign
is nothing realized. The sentences like “if
you choose me and I be a member of legislative, the education and the health
service will be free. I will make prosperous the poor people. I will repair and
build the general medium like street” often and always we hear when they
are still a candidate, but after they have been chosen as a member of
legislative, no one of their promise is done. There is not significant change
into better condition. This fact makes the public opinion that the candidate
just or only wants the position, and power. After five years, and the same
people be a candidate once again, the society has felt get a lie. It collide
with the others candidate then. They are apathy and think that whoever be
candidate, they don’t believe again and better to “golput”.
Briefly, seeing and
trying to learn the previous experience that when the candidate has been a
member of legislative, their promise when in campaign is nothing realized. One
case people prefer to do not participate in national election of legislative is
they don’t have belief to the candidate. Be a member of legislative is meant
that be a vice of society.
